JetBlue Park was designed to resemble Fenway Park, the Red Sox’s home base ballpark. The stadium features a Green Monster replica along with other notable Fenway characteristics. JetBlue Park seats 11,000 people, offering a much greater capacity than the previous Red Sox training facility. Particularly popular among recreational game-goers is the standing room only berm area of the stadium. JetBlue Park opened in 2012 and the Red Sox have practiced there ever since.

Boston Red Sox Spring Training Schedule

Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees

The Red Sox face off against their biggest rival twice during spring training. For nearly a century, the Red Sox and the New York Yankees bumped heads. This historic rivalry started when the Red Sox sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees, thus provoking the “Curse of the Bambino.” With competition this strong, even spring training games get heated. The Red Sox play the Yankees on March 5 in Tampa and on March 15 in Fort Myers.
