Southwest Florida Museum of History

Originally opened in 1982, the Southwest Florida Museum of History is housed in the former Atlantic Coastline Railroad depot. Offering an extensive history of the city of Fort Myers, many of the collections found in the museum are centuries old. Artifacts center around the first settlers to Florida, the history of agriculture and fishing, and various Native American tribes, just to name a few.
